Role Summary
The role seats in the Markets organization and forms one of the key interfaces between the Markets and the business units (Demand, Convenience, Supply, Finance) to bring the local customer needs across the organization. The role will play a key role in implementing strategic initiatives and enhancing a strong local customer experience. The candidate will bring a strong knowledge of the French market and customers in addition to business and analytical skills and commercial understanding of the business.
Main Responsibility Areas
- You are the voice of our local customers and ensure their needs and cultural nuances are considered across the different business unites of the company and collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and implement the defined local value proposition.
- You analyse local market conditions, customer preferences and competitors’ activities to provide insights to the leadership team for strategic decision-making.
- Together with the Market analytics team, you develop a deep understanding of our customer behaviour, financial performance, and their underlying drivers. Based on your market knowledge and our customer feedback you identify business opportunities, improvements or strategic needs to differentiate our experience in the market.
- You drive companywide projects based on identified opportunities that enable healthy and sustainable growth, optimize processes, and enhance our efficiency.
- You drive and engage the country team by setting a clear vision and defining the guiding principles for our local tone of voice and communication, commercial animations, and value proposition. You are also responsible for developing and implementing market-specific acquisition and retention strategy to maximize growth in collaboration with the marketing team.
- You ensure compliance with local regulations and legal requirements and work closely with legal teams to address any compliance issues and mitigate risks.
What we are looking for
- You have a master’s degree in business, economics or comparable and a minimum of 5 years+ of relevant professional experiences with strong understanding of the local market and cultural nuances.
- You have expertise in working in an international set-up and have excellent stakeholder, communication, and interpersonal skills enabling you to bring people with you and to drive alignments.
- Having a multinational Fashion retailer background or an in-depth understanding of E-commerce is a plus. Management consultancy experience is an advantage.
- You are a strategic thinker with a track record of driving business growth and have an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- You are able and familiar to translate insights and lessons learned into actionable strategy and tactics.
- You have excellent English skills, written and oral, and French is a must.
