Join BESTSECRET and help shape the future of Compliance at a fast-growing, international company. To safeguard the company’s integrity and further strengthen its governance framework, BESTSECRET is looking for a Director Compliance (m/f/d) who will ensure Compliance remains a strategic enabler of sustainable growth. 

Reporting to the Group General Counsel, the Director Compliance will define and drive the Group-wide Compliance strategy, partner closely with senior leadership, and foster a culture of ethics, accountability and transparency across the international organization. 

  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Define and execute the Group Compliance strategy, ensuring alignment with BESTSECRET’s growth ambitions and strategic objectives, and continuously enhance the Compliance Management System in line with regulatory requirements and recognized best practices. 

  • Act as a sparring partner to executive leadership on Compliance, Ethics, Governance and regulatory matters, and assess emerging regulatory developments to translate complex requirements into effective business solutions. 

  • Lead and further develop key Compliance programs, including anti-corruption & anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, whistleblowing, third-party integrity and human rights due diligence. 

  • Oversee Group-wide Compliance risk assessments and establish frameworks for risk mitigation, monitoring and reporting; direct Compliance investigations, regulatory interactions and audits, and ensure appropriate and timely remediation. 

  • Foster a culture of integrity and accountability through training and stakeholder engagement, while leading and developing the international Compliance team. 

 
Key Requirements 

  • Preferably a fully qualified legal professional (Volljurist); alternatively, an advanced academic background in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management or a related discipline. 

  • 8+ years of experience in Compliance, Risk, Legal, Audit or Governance, with leadership responsibility considered beneficial. 

  • Experience in designing, implementing and scaling Compliance Management Systems within international organizations. 

  • Experience across key regulatory areas, including anti-corruption, AML, corporate governance and supply chain due diligence; ESG/CSRD experience is a plus. 

  • Knowledge of Compliance assurance standards and recognized frameworks, including IDW PS 980 or comparable international standards; professional Compliance certification such as CCEP, CRCM or equivalent is an advantage. 

  • Experience in retail, logistics or other trade-related tangible goods industries, or alternatively in a law firm, is beneficial but not required. 

  • Experience balancing regulatory requirements with business priorities in a dynamic environment, including stakeholder management, project management, and collaboration with senior leadership. 

  • Fluent German and English skills.
