As a Principal / Lead Data Engineer, you will shape and scale our data platform to support an analytics-driven organization. You will design robust data architectures, improve data quality, and enable impactful business decisions. Working closely with engineering and business stakeholders, you will drive innovation across a modern data stack while ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic and technical guidance to the data engineering team; lead initiatives to improve data quality, reliability, and infrastructure efficiency.

Architect and maintain advanced, scalable ETL processing pipelines for batch and near-real-time data, including analytical and machine learning workflows using a modern technology stack (Airflow, Kubernetes, Starburst, dbt, Kafka).

Design, extend,and optimize the enterprise data warehouse and broader data infrastructure—leveraging Starburst, Iceberg, Microsoft Fabric, and Looker—to align with business goals and enable high-performance, analytics-driven decision-making.

Improve the performance of existing systems, ensuring robust, efficient, and scalable data solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Lead automation initiatives, including pipeline code generation and CI/CD enhancements using GitLab pipelines.
Your Profile
-
5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable data solutions.

A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.

Strong SQL expertise (ideally with dbt), a solid understanding of relational and columnar databases, and proficiency in Python.

Profound Experience with big data technologies such as Starburst, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar.

Experience working with Linux environments and modern cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or similar).

A strong interest in emerging technologies and continuous learning as well as excellent communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus), with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
