Position Overview  

The P2P Process Excellence Lead is a key role within Supply Operations, responsible for driving continuous improvement, standardization, and digital enablement across the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.  

This role bridges process optimization and technology implementation. The position ensures that P2P process is efficient, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.  

The P2P Process Excellence Lead works cross-functionally with Supply (Buying and Central Supporting Services), Logistics, Finance, and IT to translate operational needs into structured solutions and ensure sustainable implementation.  

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Optimization & Operational Excellence  

• Analyze and continuously improve operational P2P processes  

• Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities.  

• Define standardized process frameworks and ensure consistent execution across teams.  

2. Automation & Digital Enablement  

• Translate business pain points into clear, structured functional requirements.  

• Collaborate closely with IT and digital teams to design and implement fit-for-purpose system enhancements (e.g., SAP, workflow tools, automation).  

• Support solution design, testing, and rollout from a business perspective.  

3. Project Leadership & Change Management  

• Lead and support cross-functional P2P initiatives and improvement projects.  

• Define project scope, milestones, timelines, and success metrics.  

• Ensure stakeholder alignment across Supply, Logistics, Finance, and IT.  

• Drive adoption through structured communication and change management.  

4. Enablement & Training  

• Develop training concepts and materials for new processes or system enhancements.  

• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).  

• Ensure proper documentation of processes and system changes.  

5. Performance Monitoring & Governance  

• Define and implement relevant KPIs for P2P performance (e.g., cycle times, automation rate, error rates, compliance levels).  

• Build dashboards and reporting structures (e.g., Power BI).  

• Provide transparent performance updates to leadership and stakeholders.  

• Contribute to governance frameworks and escalation processes within P2P.  

Your Profile  

Experience & Background  

• University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field  
  or commercial apprenticeship with at least 7 years of relevant P2P / procurement experience.  

• Solid understanding of end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes.  

• Hands-on experience in operational procurement workflows.  

Technical Skills  

• Strong ERP knowledge (ideally SAP S/4HANA).  

• Advanced Excel skills; experience with reporting tools such as Power BI.  

• Experience in process mapping and documentation (e.g., BPMN or similar).  

• Experience working with IT or digital transformation teams.
